Who we ARE
We are not a company, we are a collaboration, a partnership between the two of us and our clients. This is us…
My first job out of university was as a Data Analyst which quickly progressed to a Fraud investigator and I was blessed (yes… I’m Southern) to be with a fantastic team of people in Nashville, TN (USA). That was a superb experience that I will never forget. That career path was changed when I moved across the big pond to a small English town. While living there for seven years, I was pulled into marketing, and held various roles in a small company, including marketing researcher, database administrator, photographer, and designer. I then became the marketing and IT manager for a group of companies, a position I held until we took the leap to move to Provence.
Marketing, website and print design, social media management, photography, video, database management. General business consultancy.
Design and marketing and training my puppy.
Leeloo, my Pyrenean mountain puppy, cycling, traveling, spy films, music (Lucius at the moment), learning new things, Belgian dark chocolate with praline, Mexican chips and salsa, Paul’s “Pasta a la Norma” (dee-licious), wood fired pizza, and if I’m lucky a samurai’s sushi.
People who hate. Wait a second….
Lost in Translation
Depends on the day.
Having done everything from recording a miss single (like a hit single that doesn’t) to motorcycle despatch, painting model soldiers and media sales, I eventually trained in IT and got a post with the Hamlet Computer Group in the UK. There I progressed from trainee to management and eventually became a Director and then co-owner of the company. I was the technical head responsible for the design and implementation of all of our products. Our expertise was examinations and assessment. We were market leaders in our particular niche, with clients in the UK, Africa, India and the Caribbean. We came to the notice of a large Indian company who were looking to become global leaders in educational software through acquisition. They bought Hamlet in 2009, at which point we moved to France.
The technical and financial side of the business.
Cycling, films, music, dogs, good (vegetarian!) food and my Hofner violin bass.
