What We Do

WE WORK HARD TO EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS

We help our clients to present a professional image on the web, on social media, in email and in print.

We build engaging, intuitive websites designed to fit large and small screens, tuned for performance and search engine placement.

We shoot our clients… regularly. We work in photography, video production and graphic design to produce high-quality unique site content and other marketing collateral.

We manage sites. We update content, upgrade software, install patches and manage security. For clients who prefer to manage their sites, we provide easy-to-use content management systems, backed up with friendly help and support whenever it’s needed.

We build everything from custom software add-ons for your site through to unique complex applications.

We are here to help.

The “Tools of our trade”

WordPress

The majority of sites that we provide are built using WordPress. WordPress is the most widely used content management system (CMS) and is used by more than 60 million websites, including 33.6% of the top 10 million websites as of April 2019. It uses templates and ‘plugins’ to provide a very wide range of functionality allowing it be used for ‘brochure’ sites, blogs, forums, media galleries and online stores. The benefit to our clients is the low cost and the ability to edit the site themselves.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce is an e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for small to large-sized online merchants. Launched on September 27, 2011, the plugin quickly became popular for its simplicity to install and customize and free base product, as with WordPress itself, its functionality is extended using plugins.

Microsoft Visual Studio and SQLServer

For more specialist or demanding sites, we use the Visual Studio suite of development tools and the enterprise level SQLServer database management system. Visual Studio is an integrated development environment from Microsoft. It is used to develop computer programs, as well as websites, web apps, web services and mobile apps.

Fuji X Series cameras and lenses… and GoPro!

After years using Canon and Nikon systems, we’ve settled on the Fujifilm X series. The X series is a high-end range of digital cameras and lenses. We have an XT-2 and XT-3, both capable of producing excellent stills and high definition video.

People are often surprised that we also use GoPro cameras. GoPros not only produce excellent video but can provide creative shots that can be difficult to get with larger cameras.

Studio lighting and camera stabilizing systems

To achieve professional quality stills and video can often require high quality accessories, from lighting systems and gimbals through to stands and grips.

We use Elinchrom studio lights for stills work and a Moza AIR gimbal for smooth video tracking.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Post production and design requires professional software. We are Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers, and use a range of their tools. The ones we use most are:

Photoshop: “The world’s best imaging and graphic design software”.
Premiere Pro: “The leading video editing software for film, TV, and the web.”
InDesign: “The desktop publishing software application for creating posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, presentations, and books.”

Audio Production

We use professional tools for recording, mixing and mastering.

Tascam: professional digital multi-track recording tools.

Cubase Pro: The most cutting-edge DAW anywhere. Used by star producers and musicians for composing, recording, mixing and editing music.

Akai Professional: A fixture of modern music both in studio and on stage, the refinement of its digital sampling technology has become the building block of today’s most popular music.
