BACKGROUND
Having done everything from recording a miss single (like a hit single that doesn’t) to motorcycle dispatch, painting model soldiers and media sales, I eventually trained in IT and got a post with the Hamlet Computer Group in the UK. There I progressed from trainee to management and eventually became a Director and then co-owner of the company. I was the technical head responsible for the design and implementation of all of our products. We were market leaders in examinations and assessment systems, with clients in the UK, Africa, India and the Caribbean. We came to the notice of a multi-national company who were looking to become global leaders in educational software through acquisition. They bought Hamlet in 2009, at which point we moved to France.

BACKGROUND
I began my career path in Nashville, Tennessee as a Data Analyst which quickly progressed to a Fraud Investigator.  This was an eye-opening experience to one part of the “business” world.  It was a fascinating experience and I was blessed (yes… I’m Southern) to be part of a wonderful team. That work direction changed when I moved across the pond to a small English town. While living there for seven years, I was pulled into marketing, and held various roles in a small company, including researcher, database administrator, photographer, and designer. I loved being part of a small company where one could really make a difference.  This role evolved into becoming the marketing and IT manager for a group of companies, a position I held until we took the leap to move to Provence, France.

SKILLS

Digital and print marketing, website design and management, social media content management, photography, video, database management, business strategy and general business consultancy.

LOVES
My four-legged children : LeeLoo who is 68 kilos of pure love and Sanka, a sweet-as-can-be, snubby-nose fella.  My heart grew several sizes when they arrived.
